Climate Technical Gear - a family-run second generation clothing manufacturer based in Canada - has set its sights on expanding into the European market.

The company, which has been making fishing and marine clothing for more than 30 years, is proud to design, test, engineer and manufacture all its protective apparel at its base in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Its Global Sales Manager, Clinton Desveaux, said: “We always attempt to source fabrics and trim items from within North America wherever possible making Climate Fishing Gear almost unique in the fishing industry.

"Our company has generated excitement in Canada and America, attending trade show meetings with distributors, dealers and end users".

"Now we are ready to embrace Europe and provide the market with an incredible durable Canadian product".

Climate's premier recreational fishing jacket and pant range is the Journeyman Series, which Desveaux says has 'set the standard' in angling apparel. Desveaux said that the company was considering taking a booth at next year's EFITEX in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, adding that its immediate priorities are establishing distribution bases in the UK and France.
